Next two weeks books we will read

Today we start our Three Little Pigs fairy tale for two weeks. The first week we will read the traditional Three Little Pigs stories then the following week we will read stories that have a "twist" to them. Having fun discussion on what is real, parts of a story, which is our favorite and more. We will also watch a few short YouTube videos that go along with this theme.

Introducing LETTER CITY!!!

On Thursdays we will learn two new letters.  Since I was out last week we have 4 letters to do tomorrow.  

Each building contains objects that start with that letter.  We say the letter, the letter sound, and objects that start with that letter.  Next we each get a cookie - if our cookie has the letter of the week then we can fed it to Cookie Monster, but if it doesn't then we fed it to Oscar.  Then we get to watch a quick ABC Mouse video on that letter.  

The children really enjoy our Letter City circle time. 

After our Letter City unit we will "celebrate" Letters for a whole week by reading alphabet books at circle time, doing alphabet activities for table work, and projects, and MAYBE have a special Letter Snack.

Next week we start talking about animals in winter - here are the books we will read.
Which animals migrate, are active, and hibernation.
We will also continue to talk about strategies to use when we feel angry.
