Sept 13, 2019 - update

Good Morning

The children have been doing a wonderful job learning all these new routines and expectations.  We will continue working on them next week as well.

This week we had fun - coloring with crayons, playing with sand, playing with play dough, building with blocks, and dressing up in the dramatic play area.  We enjoyed the new addition of babies in the dramatic play area.

We read the book - Crazy Pizza Day and made our own shape pizzas - we counted the circles, squares and triangles we put on our pizzas.

Yesterday we met a new friend - Mat Man - pictures posted below.  First we listened to the song Mat Man - but my mat man was a pile of pieces so the children helped me build him by each taking pieces and singing the song together we added our pieces to create MAT MAN!!!  Then we drew Mat Man in our writing journals - that was hard work, but each child came over to the work table to draw their Mat Man in their journal.  And the secret of Mat Man is his wooden pieces make different letters!!

Today we are going to draw our self portraits using black permanent markers to add to the back bulletin board.   This is one of my favorite projects we do in September.

THINGS THAT ARE DUE:
Sept 13 - Kissing hand projects

Sept 20 - PICTURE DAY
Sept 20 - Hopes and Dreams
