Block area and dramatic play
Block area has blocks, people, houses, school buses and other fun toys for you to use to create different structures....I can't wait to see what you will build.
Dramatic play area has a kitchen, food and dishes along with a few dress up toys. It's a great area to use our imagination.

Toys
The toys are waiting to be played with after we do circle/ group time. This month we have magnet tiles, duplos legos, potato head, bristle blocks, and a felt board book - Elmo Goes to School.
Oh no I forgot where to put the toys back - no worries everything has a home and a picture label to help you find its home again. Still not sure - You can ask a teacher for help!
What toy will you pick to play with?

Art today
Here is the art project for today. The children cut the zig zag "crack" and then assembled the pieces their own way to have their own baby chicks hatching.
On Thursday we will have 6 days until our eggs hatch- the children are getting so excited.

Table work
Our table work today is to roll a dice and cover up the number with a sticker.
Great practice for count and identifying numbers up to 6.

Eggs to Chickens
Both classes are very excited about the eggs hatching and having baby chicks.
We have 9 days left...
Fingers crossed that we get a few baby chicks to hatch so the children can see the process all the way through. Having baby chicks in the class for a few days will be fun (and loud - PEEP! PEEP!)
🐣🐤🐔
I will be returning the baby chicks to the UVM Extension program (Or the FARM is what I have been telling the children) on Friday May 28.

Egg experiment
We placed a white egg in a jar with regular white vinegar on Tuesday.
Today we will take it out and look at it.
Ask me what happened to the egg.
