Dramatic play area

Tammy created a beautiful tree for the children to use with the animals.

Our community tree

The teachers did the tree trunk bark rubbing. The morning class made handprint leaves. The afternoon class cut green leaves. The parents sent in the acorns and apples about their child.

Both classes were asked what they knew about trees and I created pictures of their answers and posted it around the tree.

Books

Here are the books for the rest of this week and next week.

Block area

You can do a variety of different building this month. There are animals, leaves, trees, wooden tree blocks, and arches. Or use the tubes, popsicle sticks and Pom poms to build a tree and balance the Pom Pom on top. Use the red caps and sticks to make an apple tree. Let your imagination build wild!

Manipulative shelf

Tall tower pegs, tinker toys, felt board book, magnet tiles, and train tracks. The children have loved the train tracks.

Science table

Matching tree bark pieces and leaves to their pictures

Math shelf

Lots of fun counting, sorting and making patterns.
