Welcome to preschool. I am so excited to be your teacher this year. This is Bob the Bear he is also happy to be in preschool. Bob can't wait to have friends in the classroom.

Books

Here are the books I plan to read the first week.
I love books!!!

Washing hands

This is where we line up to wash our hands. We wait on the feet that lead to the sink When you come to preschool we wash our hands right away so we can get ready to eat our meal. Washing our hands keeps us and our friends healthy.

Literacy shelf

This is our literary shelf. It holds different items like touch and feels letter, wooden letter writers, hand writing without tears wooden letter pieces, upper and lower case matching, rhyming, initial letter sounds, and much more.

Table work but also puzzle and math area

You will do work at this table with Ms Darcie like draw in our journal, count bears, make patterns, or learn our alphabet. Sometimes work may be challenging but Ms Darcie is there to help. Table work is always fun!

This area also has a puzzle shelf and math shelf. You will find MANy great toys to play with in this space.

Table spot

You will have your name at a table spot that you will get to eat, do art, play dough, sand and water play and also table toys like puzzle or counting bears. No worries we will help you find your spot!!

Sensory materials

Sensory and play dough will be done at your table space.

You have your own play dough container and can use the tools to mold the dough into something amazing. I wonder what you will create?

This month we have sand, but it changes every month and water to also play with. I think the sand feels smooth and silky like at the beach. I wonder what you think it will feel like?

Art area

You will find an art supply box with your name and picture on it. The art box (or pencil box) holds your crayons, scissors and glue stick to use for art. There is also a free art shelf that you will find different art items.

You get to be your own artist.

Block area and dramatic play

Block area has blocks, people, houses, school buses and other fun toys for you to use to create different structures....I can't wait to see what you will build.

Dramatic play area has a kitchen, food and dishes along with a few dress up toys. It's a great area to use our imagination.

Toys

The toys are waiting to be played with after we do circle/ group time.  This month we have magnet tiles, duplos legos, potato head, bristle blocks, and a felt board book - Elmo Goes to School.  

Oh no I forgot where to put the toys back - no worries everything has a home and a picture label to help you find its home again.  Still not sure - You can ask a teacher for help!
