November - theme CLOTHING & FEELINGS
Hello Preschool Families
This month our theme is Clothing - a different but fun theme.
Things we will be learning and doing at school - pictures are below!
New greeting song and sign in methods - pictures posted
Art area:
* Painting with yarn
* Self portraits - add fabric for clothing
* Practice weaving and sewing with different materials
* Button stamping
* Create our friend Corduroy
* Free art with different materials - bingo dotters, oil pastels, water colors, water color pencils and more
Math Area
* Pete the Cat count the button game
* Counting pegs
* Sorting clothes pins - sorting small buttons
* Count and/or sort large buttons
* Button count and clip it cards
* Sign Language number tiles
Puzzles and fine motor area
* Many different puzzles - some dressing puzzles
* Lacing dressing bear
* Pegs
* Matching baby socks
* Weaving racks with ribbon
* Dressing bear
Book area has new and different books and our favorite tree and animals still
Sensory area
* Water table - wash babies
* Beans and colored buttons and beads
* I-Spy my friends sensory bottles - bottles with our pictures inside them
Literacy areas
* Journal writing
* Match upper and lower case letters in a couple of different ways
* Magnet letters with our names to look and find letters in our names
Magnet wall
* Gears
* Clothing sort into winter and summer categories
Dramatic play area
* Shoes store two weeks
* House area
Block area
* build tall and short towers
* Small ramp for cars
* Multicultural houses and people

* Creating different class books for our Book Celebration in Dec
* Play whats missing game

* Work on syllables
* Start Hand Writing without Tears writing
